  - Ahlhorn, Germany

Target Category: Airfield -
Ahlhorn was a Naval airstation in World War I, having been built in 1915. After the war, it converted to civilian use as a childrens home, a lung health institute and a home for elderly people. At the start of 1938 the military returned to the field. Several Attack Wings (Kampfgeschwader or KG) flying Ju88 and Ju188 bombers were stationed here. At the end of the war the British Army took over the base.
