Arado / Heinkel - Warnemunde, Germany

The Arado Flugzeugwerke originally produced seaplanes for use in World War I. Following the war, it produced aircraft for export due to limitations on German aviation by the Versailles Treaty. By 1936, Arado was producing warplanes in several locations across Germany. By 1945, Heinkel had 17000 employees in Warnemunde. After the end of World War II, the heavily damaged plant was dismantled and demolished. Today only a long windowless brick wall remains on Lubeck street. ( and
