Target: OLDENBURG GERMANY Airfield (135 aircraft) - (53.1809, 8.15995)

Construction began in 1933. Initially a pilot training school was located here. In 1939 a repair facility opened. Mostly a fighter base, it also hosted reconnaissance unita. From 1943-1944, it hosted a Wilde Sau fighter unit. Although bombed during the war, it did not receive much damage. On 3 May 1945 Canadian troops reached the air base. After the war it became a British airbase and then in the Cold War, a German Air Force base. It is still an active military base.
