Target: BERLIN-SPANDAU GERMANY Industry vehicles (138 aircraft) - (52.537, 13.223)

BMW, the Bayerische Motoren-Werke, began manufacturing automobiles in 1928, having previously only made motorcycles. In 1934, an aero-engine division was created: BMW Flugmotorenbau GmbH. The merger between Munich-based BMW and Brandenburgische Motorenwerke GmbH (Bramo) of Berlin-Spandau in 1936 spurred the development of air-cooled aero-engines. In 1939, BMW took over Bramo and integrated the Spandau Plant as BMW Flugmotorenwerke Brandenburg GmbH.
